Those who dashed out to get an iPhone 6 last week might want to take extra care following reports of them bending.
The problem, dubbed ‘#bendgate’ on Twitter, has been identified by some users who left their new Apple smartphones in their pockets for extended periods of time.
The flaw is believed to be due to the gadget’s aluminium alloy frame as well as it being a thinner than usual model. It has so far only been seen in the iPhone 6+ – a larger version of the iPhone 6.
The phone, which launched on Friday, is on sale for £619 in the UK.
One user described his phone being bent after putting it in his pocket during a day dancing, eating and driving.
‘Yesterday, I left at 10am with the iPhone in my left FRONT pocket of my suit pants. I drove 4 hours to a wedding, which also involved a lot of sitting during dinner etc but also 2-3 hours of dancing. I left at 2am and went to bed, driving home 4 hours back. ‘ Hanzoh told MacBook rumours.
‘So in total, the 6 Plus was about 18 hours in my pocket while sitting mostly.
‘As I lay it on the coffee table and sat down on the couch to relax from the drive, I saw the reflection of the window in the iPhones slightly distorted. Now I lay it flat with the display side on the table, take a look.’
This isn’t the first time the iPhone has been accused of being bendy nor is the issue unique to Apple, according to Mashable.

Nurse sexually assaulted a brain dead patient
A nursing assistant in Englewood, Colorado, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexually assaulting a patient
Paul Bugarcic, 34, sexually assaulted Julie Henson, who is brain dead, multiple times
Her parents caught him on a video camera they had set up to monitor their daughter's progress
'She couldn’t even fight back, she couldn’t say (anything),' Julie’s father told CBS 4 Denver.
'And if we didn't have that camera in there to catch it, he would've kept on doing it.'
Making things even worse was the fact that the family knew, and trusted, Bugarcic.
Julie's mother, Debbie Henson, says when she watched the video, she could not believe what she was seeing.
'I watched it and I went, "No,"' she said.
Julie began suffering severe headaches back in 2011 after a coworker pulled a chair out from underneath her and she hit her head.
She soon had brain swelling and then a cyst.
The doctors who preformed surgery on her said that there was a 'one in a million chance something might go wrong,' and it did, leaving Julie severely brain injured.
Her family said Julie had been making amazing progress however, which is why they decided to set up the inconspicuous camera in her room, until the sexual assault began at the hands of Bugarcic.
'This guy doing what he did to her took the progress she had and dropped it back about a year,' Debbie said.
They still have hope however that they will get the old Julie back.
'She’s all in there. The poor thing is just trapped in her body,' Debbie said.

Fejiro oliver of NTA demanded a bribe of 50 million naira from Niged State Government
Sahara reporters just reported the news of one Mr Fejiro Oliver of NTA who demanded for a 50million naira bribe from Niger State government
The government of Niger state on Monday provided what it says were text message exchanges between it and Fejiro Oliver, the journalist declared missing since Friday and eventually paraded by the State Security Service, SSS in Minna on Monday.
The text messages as provided by the Niger State government showed that Mr. Oliver allegedly demanded a bribe of N50 million to kill a story about Governor Muazu Aliyu.
The spokesperson of Mr. Aliyu, Israel Ebije, told PREMIUM TIMES Mr. Oliver, whose real name is Tega Oghenedoro, is actually a staff of the Nigerian Television Authority in Asaba Delta state.
“Agreed reporters at times use pen names, but not in this case whereby this man was just using mushroom online platforms to blackmail innocent Nigerians,” he said
When pressed for concrete evidence that the journalist actually demanded bribe, Mr. Ebije forwarded to us what he claimed were text messages exchanged between Mr. Oghenedoro and the Secretary to Government of Niger State, Saidu Ndako
The Chief Press Secretary to Mr. Muazu said after it became clear that the journalist was out to blackmail officials of the state government, he issued a statement warning him to refrain from his actions or be exposed.
“I even put out a caveat to him through his so-called secret reporters warning him of the consequences of his actions, but because he is greedy he still insisted
“We are already aware that the documents he claimed to have were given to him by an aggrieved government official, Iliyasu Dhako, who I have on tape confessing and apologising for his action,” he said.
He also said when the SSG reported the matter to the State Security Service in Minna, they set up a trap for Mr. Oghenedoro “and he greedily fell into it” .
He said most of the communication the SSG had with the journalist was under the guidance of the SSS “just to prove that he was out to extort money” Mr. Ebije said.
Below is the full transcript of the text messages exchanged between the reporter and the SSG sequel to his arrival in Abuja after which he was arrested by the SSS at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport.

Ndako: Just trying to get prepared for we shall be looking at because of weekend.
Fejiro: SSG Sir, we can discuss everything when I come in tomorrow but you can count on me that it will be fruitful

Fejiro: Good Morning Sir, when the plane is set to fly, I will inform you. My staff in Abuja will be at the airport to pick me. Hotel accommodation for the 3 days is what is left and that can be done when I’m in Abuja.
Ndako: Okay no problem. Call me when you are in town
Fejiro: My flight is leaving now Sir
Meanwhile, the Daily Trust newspaper on Tuesday reported that the Niger State command of the SSS on Monday paraded Mr. Oghenedoro, for demanding N50 million from the state government to as a condition for dropping a story on alleged fraudulent activities within the government.
While parading the suspect before journalists, the state director, of the SSS, Larry Obiagwu, said Mr. Oghenedoro was arrested by his men at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja while on his way to Minna to collect the said amount.
However, a close ally of the journalist and human rights activist, Inibehe Effiong, who had been spearheading the campaign to find out the whereabouts of the journalist said on Tuesday that the Niger state government lied against the reporter
In a post on his Facebook timeline, Mr. Effiong said “We have heard from Fejiro Oliver directly. He says he appreciates our efforts and urged us to continue with the campaign to free him, that he is fine. As for
the information making round, we will respond appropriately. The attempt to paint Fejiro in bad light will fail. We are going to respond to all the issues raised. Now that I have heard from him I am more confident to fight on”

syngogue church unlawful abuse of building regulations
THE collapse of the six-storey building within the premises of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Ikotun Egbe, Lagos, is a symptom of a disturbing trend in Nigeria where religious bodies carry on as if they are above the law.
This propensity, which is much more pronounced among some of the Pentecostal denominations, mainly involves the indiscriminate and unlawful abuse of building regulations, thus pitching these groups against state authorities.
Just as the dust was yet to clear in Lagos, another unapproved church building belonging to the Christ Chosen Church in Benin came tumbling down, with two people killed. There have been media reports of altercations between the Enugu State Government and the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries and also between the Ogun State Government and the Living Faith Church, owners of the Covenant University, Ota.
The SCOAN disaster would have been avoided if the Church authorities had cooperated with the relevant agency of the Lagos State Government in charge of building regulation. Several buildings within the complex had been declared as unapproved structures and orders made for work to stop. The church continued to build until this tragedy struck, claiming the lives of between 86 and 115 people, most of them visiting foreigners.
It was clearly a mark of failure on the part of both the church and the government to do the right thing. Why should government officials fold their hands when the church continued to develop buildings even after several warnings to stop? If the government had been truly up to its duties, it would have applied the necessary sanctions to make sure that the death trap was discontinued.
The laws are very explicit on steps that must be taken when buildings that are put up without adherence to proper regulations collapse. The ongoing investigation into this tragic incident should be thorough and conclusive, and anyone found culpable should be dealt with according to the law. The property should also be confiscated and the church moved to a safer area. This will serve notice to the religious groups that government will not give up its duties of maintaining the law and ensuring the safety of citizens and foreign visitors alike.
Unless investigations reveal evidence supporting terror attacks after series of aircraft over-flights, we must not fall for any attempt to divert attention and transfer culpability to non-existent aggressors. After all, aviation activities have been part of Lagos and other big cities and no building has gone down anywhere as a result.
We must use this incident to reiterate that no one is above the law, and that adherence to the rule of law is the bounden duty of all.

Man accused of raping a 20 year old girl and uploading her naked pictures online
Oluwakayode, who hails from Osun State allegedly, raped the victim in his apartment at Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of the state.
The victim, a native of Akwa Ibom State, alleged that after being raped, Oluwakayode took her pictures and uploaded them on a popular social media.
Oluwakayode, the suspect, however denied ever raping her, saying “she was my girlfriend.”
He (Oluwakayode) was arrested by the Police at Ifako-Ijaiye and brought to the state Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, WAPA.
Well this is what both the victim and accused had to say
My story— VICTIM
“I did not go to his house as he alleged. On my way back from work Tuesday last week, I saw someone running out of his house. He held my hand saying he wanted to do what was on his mind.
“I asked him why he would do what was on his mind when I had not even accepted his advances. He insisted and dragged me inside the bush. When I wanted to shout, he brought out a knife and said he would kill me there.
“From the bush, he dragged me to his house and locked the door. He used his legs to hold my neck, tore my skirt, my pants and bra, beat me up, and then raped me.”
According to her, “When Oluwakayode’s sister came back around to 9p.m., she asked her brother to open the door, asking him if he wanted to kill me.”
“He has been asking me out for a long time. I was never his girlfriend. I have my own boyfriend.
“He raped me; painfully. Even his sister was crying and he snapped me immediately and his sister even threatened to call his mother.”
‘I only had a fight with my girlfriend’
Narrating his own side of the story, Oluwakayode said: “I only fought with my girlfriend (the victim), but they are accusing me of raping her. I never deny the fact that I snapped her picture when she was naked.
“We were fighting. Any other allegation levelled against me is a big lie. The only thing I did, which I do not deny, is that I took her nude photographs.
“She had been hurting me for a very long period and we had an issue which made me delete her number from my phone. Last week, I got a missed call. I called the number immediately. When I heard her voice, I asked her what she wanted.”
According to him, he met her passing by in June, when he asked for her phone number and she gave it to him.
“She even came to my house and we sat outside and talked. She agreed to date me. There was a day we spoke on phone and she was asking me if I had an apartment. I told her that I didn’t want to rush into anything that I wanted to settle down in my business. I do branding in my house at Ifako.
“They said I raped her; one thing is that I have conscience and she also has conscience: our conscience will judge. I never denied beating her. I did beat her with my head on her face and on her back when she held my manhood.
“All the allegations of bringing out powder, a knife and belt are lies. I have conscience and she has too. That’s all.”

Man suffering from Persisten Genital Arousal Syndrome has 100 orgasms a day
Naturally you will think orgasm is something to enjoy, well not when you have it hundred times a day, it becomes a big problem.
The 37-year-old said: ‘Imagine being on your knees at your father’s funeral beside his casket – saying goodbye to him and then you have nine orgasms right there.
‘While your whole family is standing behind you. It makes you never want to have another orgasm for as long as you live.
‘There’s nothing pleasurable about it because even though it might feel physically good – you’re completely disgusted by what’s going on.’
It’s not fun (Picture: Barcroft)
The painful pelvic episodes have made Dale housebound through fear of cumming in public – just like the time he had an orgasm in the local supermarket and saw ‘around 150 people looking straight at me’.
Dale lives in Two Rivers, Wisconsin with his wife April and two sons Christian, 12, and Tayten, 11.
While she does everything she can to support him, April, 33, is finding Dale’s condition just as hard to live with as he is.
She said: ‘We really struggle right now as he is unable to work and supply for his family and I feel like all the strain is on me.
‘It’s really upsetting, we don’t do things that man and wife should do and we argue over things that should not be affecting us.’
Despite suffering from a near constant erection Dale and April rarely have sex.

Despite suffering from a near constant erection Dale and April rarely have sex.
kris Jenner filled for divorce
TMZ just reported that kris jenner has filled for divorce from bruce her husband and father of both kendal and kylie. -:
While it may not have been any one thing that led Kris to finally, legally bring her marriage to an end, it's long been rumored that Bruce Jenner is seeking a sex change, which prompted Kris to seek a separation in 2013.
The sex change rumors have never been confirmed by either party, and friends of Bruce's have denied that he has any interest in becoming a woman, but Jenner's changing appearance in recent months has led to increased speculation.
Most recently, sources indicated that Kris Jenner had taken to mocking Bruce for his increasingly feminine behavior.
But regardless of what prompted, it the Jenners divorce will likely proceed rather quickly, legal experts say. The fact that Kris filed without legal counsel may even indicate that they've already reached an agreement.

Abubakah shekau or bashir Mohammed
Told you yesterday that naija has three sides to their coin. Well, this is the news we got today concerning shekau's death.
Cameroonian authorities yesterday released a photo of a dead man they identified as Abubakar Shekau, the loquacious and attention-seeking leader of the terrorist group that has launched deadly strikes in Nigeria’s northeast zone as well as Cameroon. The Nigerian intelligence source told SaharaReporters that Nigerian soldiers, not Cameroonian troops, had killed Mr. Bashir last Friday in a fierce battle against Boko Haram insurgents in Konduga, Borno State. The late Mr. Bashir, who bore a striking resemblance to Abubakar Shekau and had appeared in a recent video, was killed as he led insurgents who were attempting to capture Konduga and then made a bid to seize Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, as well.
Nigerian soldiers routed the Islamist militants in Konduga, killing hundreds of them and capturing weapons as well as vehicles abandoned by fleeing insurgents. The military as well as Nigerian government-appointed negotiators claim that the original Mr. Shekau had died since last year, reportedly assassinated by his lieutenants. The intelligence source said Mr. Bashir had adopted Mr. Shekau’s nom deguere and had been the person responsible for issuing video messages in recent times. Even though our source said the military was cautious not to claim credit for Mr. “Shekau’s” death, he added that the Nigerian military was buoyed by the capture of the armored tank usually displayed in the background of recent videos issued by the sect’s spokesman.

The 25 best diet tips
Best weight loss tricks ever!
If you've ever tried to lose weight (and who hasn't), you've got to be mindful of whose advice you take. Your colleague says you need to cut out carbs. Your gym buddy knows the secret is to stop eating after 7 p.m. Your Facebook friend swears she’ll be in swimsuit shape by March if she only eats once a day. Your husband, well, he sneezes and the weight seems to fall off.
But do any of these tips really work? To help you shed those extra pounds—and keep them off—without starving yourself, ditching your social life, or eating only at odd times of the day, we talked to experienced nutritionists for real-world advice you can actually live with, day in and day out. We'll tell you how to focus on the delicious foods you can add to your diet, why you should be eating more often (yes!), the fat loss benefits of more sleep, and how even taking a few deep breaths can put you on a successful path to weight loss.
Here, the 25 best diet tips of all time. Say buh-bye to hunger and hello skinny jeans.
1. Never get too hungry
You make poor decisions when your judgment is compromised. Hunger is a primal urge that’s difficult to deny. When you're famished, it's hard to hold off until you can find healthy food. As a result, you end up eating anything that's not nailed down, and typically, regretting it. Planning meals and snacks works wonders to head off the intense hunger that can do a number on your best intentions to eat right. Always tote healthy snacks, such as an ounce of pistachios, a hard-cooked egg and some whole grain crackers, Greek yogurt, or 1/4 cup raisins. Don't skip meals or skimp on them, either. Here, 6 portable, protein-packed snacks that fill you up.
2. Be honest about your daily calorie allowance
Everyone has a calorie budget, whether you're trying to maintain your weight or lose a few pounds. I've found that people ignore this simple fact. Your calorie budget allows you to build a healthy diet, and it helps prevent frustration about weight control. The 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans provide suggested daily calorie intakes based on gender, age, and physical activity level. When you know your calorie budget, then you can plan on how many servings of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy, and other protein sources to include every day.
3. Eat right post-workout
People are notorious for overestimating how many calories they burn during physical activity, which is often far less than actual calories burned. When you overestimate the calories you burn during exercise, you may eat more than you need, making weight loss and maintenance difficult. High-intensity exercise may drive women to eat more, and moderate exercise may be the key to easier weight control. To see how many average calories you’re burning during everyday activities and exercise, check out this chart from the CDC. You can see how easy it is to wipe out the calories burned during a workout with just a few extra nibbles during the day.
4. Use the red, orange and green rule
At each meal include one food that is any of these colors. By focusing on these foods, you'll be sure to get some produce on your plate and won't have space on your plate for higher-calorie fare. (Bonus: Colorful fruits and veggies help your skin look healthier and younger! Here's what to eat for glowing skin!)
5. Eat one less bite
Doing this at every meal could save about 75 calories a day which equates to nearly an 8-pound weight loss in one year
6. Be a heavy drinker
Water is essential for keeping the body hydrated and we're actually more likely to retain "water weight" by not drinking enough of it rather than by having too much. The needs of each person will be different, but the general recommended daily amount is 64 ounces. It also takes up space in your stomach so you'll feel fuller while taking in less calories. Find out the best non-boring ways to get in your recommended servings of water.
7. Kick the salt habit
Salt is a big contributor to weight gain and often a reason why the numbers on the scale aren't going down. The average American consumes twice the amount of salt they should have each day, leading to weight gain, bloating, and the inability to lose stubborn pounds. Salt can also make you feel hungrier and thirstier, so check the nutrition labels for high sodium levels and choose fresh over packaged or restaurant foods. You'll see a puffy face and belly go down quickly just by cutting back on your sodium intake and choosing more natural foods. Here's how to start reducing sodium in your diet.
8. Spice up your food
Adding hot spices to your meals can help curb hunger, according to a study in the British Journal of Nutrition. Need another reason to add some heat? Scientists at the State University of New York at Buffalo found that capsaicin (a compound found in chilies) triggers your brain to release feel-good endorphins. A full belly and a good mood? Pass the hot sauce!
9. Don't think diet soda will help you lose weight
A University of Texas Health Science Center study found that the more diet sodas a person drank, the greater their risk of becoming overweight. Downing just two or more cans a day increased waistlines by 500%. Why? Artificial sweeteners can disrupt the body's natural ability to regulate calorie intake based on the sweetness of foods, suggested an animal study from Purdue University. That means people who consume diet foods might be more likely to overeat, because your body is being tricked into thinking it's eating sugar, and you crave more.
A separate study found that even just one diet soda a day is linked to a 34% higher risk of metabolic syndrome, the group of symptoms including belly fat and high cholesterol that puts you at risk for heart disease. Whether that link is attributed to an ingredient in diet soda or the drinkers' eating habits is unclear. But is that one can really worth it?
10. Focus on nutrient balance instead of calorie counting
Making sure an eating occasion has carbs, protein, and fat instead of just counting calories (like a 100-calorie pack) delivers better energy and fat loss results by giving the body what it needs, like quick- and longer-digesting nutrients so you stay full longer. See ashleykoffapproved.com/nutritionplan for guidance.
11. Plate food away from where you're eating
By keeping food within eyesight as you are eating, you may find yourself reaching for a second helping even if you really aren't hungry. Place the food on the kitchen counter or stove, portion out a serving on your plate and then sit down at the table and eat. This way, if you want additional servings, you'll have to get up, which helps you to be more mindful of what you are eating.
12. Keep a food record
We know you've heard this time and time again. Well, that's because keeping a food record is vital to losing weight and keeping it off long term. A study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine found that those who kept regular food records lost twice as much weight as those who didn't. When keeping a food record, make sure to track what you ate, how much you ate, anything you added to the food (condiments, oils, etc.), and what you drank. Also tracking your mood and appetite can be helpful and insightful into learning about your eating patterns as well!
13. Start with soup
People who ate a low-calorie vegetable soup before a meal consumed 20% fewer calories at the meal, according to research from Penn State Unniversity. Have a low-calorie broth-based veggie soup before your largest meal of the day to reduce calories and lose weight without feeling hungry.
14. Take your time
Rapid eaters are often heavier than slow eaters, according to research from The University of Rhode Island. It takes 20 minutes for your stomach to send a message to your brain that you have eaten enough and are satisfied. If you rush your meal and eat rapidly, your body's satiety cues won't be tuned in to those feelings of fullness yet and it's easier to overeat. Try slowing down by chewing each bite at least 10 times, putting your fork down in between bites, and fostering a relaxing eating environment rather than eating on the run.
15. Outsmart your hunger hormone
Even the most motivated and focused dieter will struggle to be successful at weight loss once hunger takes over. Our bodies secrete a hormone called ghrelin, which controls hunger and drives our appetite. If we don't understand, monitor, and control our ghrelin, we can forget about losing weight. Science tells us that the best way to control ghrelin is to eat small, balanced meals about every 3 hours or so. That's because ghrelin will spike after about 3 to 4 hours of fasting, so eating with regularity helps keep this eating trigger at bay. Ghrelin will also spike if we're deprived of carbs, so it's important to give our bodies and brains the carb fuel they need. When we skip meals or avoid carbs, we're inviting ghrelin to spike, which increases and makes us feel emotionally hungry. It makes us crave sugar and can derail even the healthiest eating routine.
16. Dine anytime
It's a myth that you'll gain weight as a direct result of eating after 7 p.m. I see many busy professionals at my private practice, and they often get home late. This doesn't mean that they should skip dinner if they're trying to lose weight.
Many times, people stop eating by 5 p.m., which results in overeating the following day. This cycle is not ideal as it shuts down your metabolism. You should eat 70% of your calories before dinnertime and 30% at dinner, whatever time that may be. Just give yourself at least 90 minutes to end your meal before you plan to go to sleep. You need at least 90 minutes to digest so you can sleep comfortably.
17. Set a date with your kitchen
Based on what I have applied in my practice, when it comes to weight loss we need to devote 80% of our efforts to nutrition and 20% to exercise.
One way to do this is to schedule time and make a date with your supermarket and kitchen. Restaurant dishes are outside of your control, and the fact is, most times, those outrageous portions come loaded with salt and fat. Start cooking at home to better monitor your calorie intake.
Schedule a day, like Sunday afternoon, to pre-cook for the week. Plan to roast a whole chicken. Cut up a batch of vegetables—like squash, peppers, eggplant, and sweet potatoes—toss them with a little olive oil and roast them in another pan alongside the chicken. Boil a pot of brown rice. Do all of this simultaneously and it should only take about an hour.
Now you have the makings for Monday's burritos, Tuesday's stew, Wednesday's pasta dish, and so on. Each working evening, you should only need about 15 minutes in the kitchen to put it together—less time than you might spend heating up a fat-, salt- and sugar-filled frozen pizza!
18. Breathe away cravings
This may seem obvious. After all, you have to breathe no matter what, right? But few of us breathe deeply or consciously. Think about it: when was the last time you took a long, slow, deep breath, and slowly let it out again? Deep breaths of that kind take you out of your immersion in momentary stress, oxygenate your brain and tissues, and they help to reduce stress hormones. Take breathing breaks throughout the day, or, better yet, pair those breaks with a quiet walk to disassociate from the stress. Just a couple of minutes of walking, a few long, deep breaths, and you will start to see the results in your body.
19. Eat before a party or event
Don't arrive at a big meal, event, or party starving. One study found that you'll be 2.5 times more likely to start off overeating starchy carbs, fried or cheesy foods than those who didn't fast before the meal. And, you'll be more likely to eat 47% more calories of that first food before switching to healthier fare. Have a light snack before you go to an event so you don’t arrive ravenous.
20. Be adventurous with chopsticks
Choosing chopsticks requires a bit more attention in picking up food from the plate. The portions are smaller, and eating with them takes more time because you have to closely watch each bite so the food doesn’t fall off. They can act as a reminder to slow down, savor and chew consciously which may help you realize you’re fuller sooner than you thought you’d be and then wind up eating less!
21. Wear fitted clothing
The elastic waistband is the dieter's fashion enemy number one. When you wear clothes that fit well and make you feel good, you have awareness gauges that give you clear signals to help you put on the brakes as you fill up. Use this as a way of staying mindful of your goals and to help keep you from overeating.
22. Celebrate healthy talk
Instead of using words like "fat," say "fit"; change "can't" to "can"; "weak" to "strong"; "unhealthy" to "healthy." It takes practice but it can start to rewire how you think about your health and weight goals.
New research commissioned by Special K surveying over 1,000 women, found that 9 out of 10 women who have a positive attitude about weight management reported either losing or maintaining their weight in the past year versus only about 50% of those with a negative attitude. And beyond being more successful, those with a positive attitude were eight times less likely to report having gained weight than women who think negatively.
23. Eat breakfast without fail
A study published in the British Journal of Nutrition tracked the diets of nearly 900 adults and found that when people ate more fat, protein, and carbohydrates in the morning, they stayed satisfied and ate less over the course of the day than those who ate their bigger meals later on. Unfortunately, many Americans start off on an empty stomach. In one survey, consumers reported that even when they eat in the morning, the meal is a full breakfast only about one-third of the time. If you're feeling full-blown hunger before noon, there's a chance you're not eating enough in the morning. Shoot for a minimum of 250 calories and aim to get a serving of protein in so you’ll feel fuller longer.
24. Take 10 minutes to eat a treat
Try this strategy to permanently reduce cravings: Portion out one serving of your favorite treat, taking a minute to smell it, look at it, and think about it. Take one small bite. Chew slowly, moving it around your mouth and focusing on the texture and taste, then swallow. Ask yourself whether you want another bite or if that one satisfied you. If you still want more, repeat, this time chewing the food 20 times. Continue this eating exercise for as long as you want or until you finish the serving (it should take about 10 minutes). "When you take the time to slow down and be more mindful of what something really tastes like, you'll feel more satisfied," says Lesley Lutes, PhD, an associate professor in the department of psychology at East Carolina University. "Many of our participants told us that after a while, they didn't enjoy the treat as much as they thought they would, or they were content after just a couple of bites and were better able to stop eating when they were satisfied."
25. Sleep away weight gain
Make a point of turning in earlier and you’ll see weight loss within a week. Recent research from the University of Pennsylvania found even just a few nights of sleep deprivation can lead to almost immediate weight gain. Scientists asked participants to sleep about 10 hours a night for two days, followed by five nights of sleep restriction and four nights of recovery. After the 11 days, the sleep-deprived group gained almost 3 pounds, compared with a well-rested control group.
Fear of robbery pushed banks to close early in Ogun state
Punch just reported this news.
Banks in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State on Monday were said to have shut their doors against customers as their management was said to have been gripped by the fear of robbery attacks.
Our correspondent gathered that almost all the major banks who have branches in the town operated skeletal services for about one hour before hurriedly shutting their doors.
Customers who turned up to either make withdrawals from their accounts or pay in money were disappointed.
Our correspondent gathered that the management of these banks were afraid that robbers might invade their banks, because the only Armoured Personnel Carrier allocated by the state police command to Ijebu Ode has developed mechanical faults and has been taken away.
A banker who did not want his name in print told our correspondent that they were only being security conscious because the festive seasons were around the corner, and the men of the underworld might strike.
He said, “The Eid-Kabir celebration is around the corner. Likewise the Christmas celebration, and these seasons come with their challenges. Men of the underworld also want to celebrate. So they go all out to unleash mayhem on banks or other places they feel they can get money.
“Based on our experience in the past, we do not want to take chances, because the Armoured Personnel Carrier usually stationed here had developed mechanical fault and it has been taken away. It is the one in Ago Iwoye that has been alternating between the two towns.”
Our source gathered that this palpable fear also led to closure of banks in Ijebu Igbo, a neighbouring town to Ijebu Ode.
A resident, Mr. Dotun Akinola, who went to one of the new generation banks in Ijebu Ode to make withdrawals on Monday said he was disappointed to meet the bank under lock and key.
He said, “I was terribly disappointed because I was so broke. I met some other customers at the gate of the bank but we were never allowed in.
“But I was told that some of the banks opened for business around 1pm when the police brought the APC from Ago Iwoye to Ijebu Ode. But immediately the APC was moved out of the town, the banks quickly shut their doors.”
Most of the banks who had their offices on Ibadan Road did not open for business.
The police spokesman in the state, Muyiwa Adejobi, said there was always an APC stationed along Ibadan Road, and that there was no cause for alarm.
He said if there was any incident in Ijebu Igbo, the APC would get there in matter of minutes.
He said in the security arrangement, the carrier was just a backup to other security arrangements.
He said, “The APC on Ibadan Road is four kilometres away to Ijebu Igbo. The commissioner of police has ordered the Area commander to ensure there is no breakdown of law and order in the area.
“With what we have on ground, there is no cause for alarm.”

A child that was born with a tail
The unnamed child, from India, had the growth removed at five days old
Was born with a heteropagus conjoined twin - where his sibling was anatomically incomplete and had formed as a tail on his back
The 350g growth took three surgeons in Gujarat four hours to remove
If left untreated, this child's growth may have become cancerous

A new app that gives sight to the blind
Massachusetts firm has developed a screen reading app for iOS devices that detects and reads any text aloud, and costs a relatively cheap $99 (£60).
The KNFB Reader app is capable of scanning for text – even within images - and converts it into speech automatically.
The $99 (£60) app is available for the iPhone 5 and above, running iOS 7 and higher.
When a user wants to read text, they hold the device above the piece of paper, over the advert or at a shop window, and the app will scan for writing.
Once it detects text and is the best position, it will take a photo of it.
This photo is then decoded and the speech begins almost instantaneously.
It supports English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Danish, Finnish, Swedish, and Norwegian - and works with all Braille displays supported by VoiceOver on iOS

A model who spent £30,000 transforming herself into a real-life sex doll.
Victoria Wild, 30, has undergone plastic surgery to give herself an exaggerated pout, huge breasts and gigantic eyelashes so she can look like an inflatable sex toy.
The operations include three rounds of breast surgery to become a size 32G, costing £25,000, rhinoplasty (£3,000), bottom implants, permanent lip implants as well as botox (£2,000).

Wild, from Cannes, France, has funded the surgery with various modelling assignments and with help from her boyfriend Simon.
She said: ‘Who wouldn’t want to be treated like a bimbo doll? It’s such a sexy look. People stare at me in the street and I love the way I stand out.’
Wild said her obsession with looking like a blow-up doll started when she visited Latvia as a teenager. She had an inferiority complex about the way she looked because she had small size-A breasts, and people called her ‘Barbie’ because she was slim and blonde.
‘I didn’t know about plastic surgery at that age but I would always dream about resembling a sexy bimbo doll with huge breasts and insanely big lips,’ she said.
‘I loved the way dolls looked and how sexy they were. They are so bright and bold. It was this fantasy in my head.’
When Wild met her Italian businessman boyfriend Simon when she was 25, he encouraged her to pursue her dream.
She said: ‘Simon loves my sex doll look. I’m a bombshell now. People look at me in the street and men absolutely adore me. Simon’s so proud of the attention I get.
‘I get more glamour model work because how I look too. I would love to become famous for being a sex doll.’
She adds that she’s never felt happier or more confident.
