A Chinese restaurant owner has admitted he grinds opium in his trademark noodle dish, so customers would keep coming back for more.
Zhang confessed to police after one of his regular customers tested positive for opium during a routine traffic stop earlier this month.
Zhang said that he had purchased 4.4lbs of poppy buds for $100 (N16,000) in August and had been crushing them and adding them to the noodles to ‘make it taste better and to improve his business’.
